The Puerto Rico/United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce (PRUKCC) is a non-profit corporation registered under the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. It was created to help develop and improve the relationship between the two island communities of Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom. The emphasis is business interchange but the environment is convivial and friendly. People enjoy coming to the activities. The PRUKCC offers a unique forum for the discussion of problems. All viewpoints are not only accepted but encouraged. The purpose is to develop a membership that has spent individual intellectual time considering the problems we all face today and to exchange those views with others. Consensus is not expected and, unless it occurs naturally, is almost discouraged. Politics are welcome, party platforms are not. Currently, the membership stands at 120 individuals representing Founder Members, Corporate Members, Individual Members, Overseas Members, Reciprocal Members and Honorary Members. It is a diverse group with membership covering a wide variety of professional disciplines. Succinctly, it is intellectually stimulating and fun. Membership is by invitation but introductions are encouraged whether they be from current members or from those interested in the Chamber's work. The Chamber is a member of the British American Business Council (BABC), the largest transatlantic business network comprising more than twenty (20) British American business organizations based in major regional business centers throughout North America and the UK, and so offers its members opportunities to do business with the 3,500 companies that are members of these organizations.
Our MissionThe Mission is to provide an environment for discussion and a base for the development of concepts and strategies both directed to Puerto Rico's economic future. The Chamber is non-aligned politically, is intellectually stimulating and productive, and is fun.
